Places to buy books. . .

Check out the American Booksellers Association’s Booksense site to find an independent bookstore than can serve your needs in person or online.

Portland, Oregon’s tremendous Powell’s World of Books is worth a visit if you find yourself in that fair city, but you can also search their millions of new and used books online.

Eighth Day Books, online and in Wichita, Kansas, specializes in books of timeless interest, many of them nimbly spirited.

For used books, and out-of-print titles, I’ve had great success with the Advanced Book Exchange, which will link you to book dealers from coast-to-coast and across several oceans.
